Mind is responsible for perception, thinking, and understanding. Basically, taking the right decision at the right time. According to ayurveda mind has three gunas or states viz sattva, rajas and tamas. Sattva guna means purity. So, a sattvic mind is always steady, happy & healthy. Tamas and rajas are Manasdoshas i.e conditions of imbalance of mind. These manadoshas are responsible for ailments like anxiety, depression, fear, anger & worry.

Frequent and long term exposure to stress can lead to other forms of mental disorders like anxiety, depression, insomnia and even conditions like schizophrenia in severe cases. Many a times leading to drastic measures like sleeping pills. So we must learn to master dealing with stress and Ayurveda has excellent solutions for this condition.
